4-27-08 Engine Failure

The engine in the 44 ministock failed on lap 5 of the feature at Watermelon Capital speedway. Kevin had to start on the tail of the field since his last race there was a win. He quickly found him self at the front battling for the lead when the cam tower broke causing him to lose oil pressure. Kevin is talking about taking the summer off and concentrating on business. If he decides to race soon news will be posted on this site. 

 
4-13-08  A Win at WCS
The team rolled into Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele Ga on Saturday looking for a win and found one. Kevin had the car handling great but a carburetor problem created a misfire that looked to jeopardize Kevin's chance of winning. The car did not run as well as it should have but Kevin was still able to lead flag to flag to pick up his first win of 2008 early in the season. The win is also Kevins first at WCS. This will be good momentum for Kevin as he looks to turn this into many more wins at other tracks across the south east along with WCS.

 

4-8-08 Racing On Tap

Kevin has gotten the car prepared to make the trek down to Watermelon Capital Speedway on the 12th. The team was hoping to make the previous two races but a transmission failure in the hauler lead to a month of waiting on repairs. Now the truck is back, a new cylinder head has been prepared by the guys at Johnson Machine and a few new tricks are up Kevin's sleeve as he prepares for his first race of the 2008 season. Kevin is expecting very promising results after coming off 2 wins in the Orlando Winter Series and securing the Winter Series Title. Kevin has decided to hold of on unleashing the new power plant as it is being saved for Bristol. See you at the track.

 
2-20-08 Big News
Kevin has been busy getting things ready for the upcoming season. New motors and new setups will be used in 2008. Competition is getting tighter which has led Kevin back to the engine shop to find a few more horsepower. One new engine is in the works with another soon to follow. The new package will be tested out at Watermelon Capital Speedway this spring. Plans currently lead Kevin to race a mini stock race at Bristol Motor Speedway on August 9th. This is a once in a lifetime chance to run the high bank half mile that is the most exciting NASCAR track in existence. Check back for Kevins progress as he leads up to this exciting event.
 
1-6-08 New Year, more accomplishments.
The new year is here, and Kevin has added an accomplishment to his stats. With a 3rd place finish at Orlando Speedworld on January 5th, he locked up the championship for the mini stock division. This is the first year for the winter series at Orlando Speedworld. Kevin does not intend to race in the last scheduled event on the 12th as he is planning to start getting ready for the upcoming  racing season. Tracks Kevin plans on racing at include Watermelon Capital Speedway, Dillon Motor Speedway, New Smyrna Speedway, and Orlando Speedworld.  The different rule packages at each track will keep the team on their toes, but both cars will be utilized in 2008 Stay tuned for more information.
